Throwback Thursdays #1...

Fellow blogger Chrissy does this thing on her blog called "Throwback Thursdays" where she puts up pictures of her and her family when they were kids. It's actually kinda neat since you see a fellow blogger, cute as can be, as a little tike, and to see the VERY HIP clothing styles of way back then. I've thought about doing the same thing but I hadn't yet for two reasons:

1. I can't imagine why anyone would want to see what I looked like as a six year old.

2. I don't have very many pictures of me as a little boy so it wouldn't last very long. (Of course, I could call mom and see what she's got...)

Anyways, my digital camera broke last week and I'm not too happy because, as all you know, I take a lot of pics of my little guys and post them and now I don't have a decent digital camera. So it occurred to me; now is as good a time as any to institute my own Throwback Thursdays for lack of new pics of my kids to post! (smile) It may take me a bit before I can buy a new one.

Check out the shirt I'm wearing!

I was a very big Star Wars fan back when the real first Star Wars Movie came out I even had my own Millenium Falcon to fly around the house...

Then there was the time when I went Roller Skating (Roller Blading wasn't around back then) with the family:

We were styling with our John McKenroe shirts, huh? (If you have to ask who John McKenroe was, then never mind.) I think it was cold that night and we were all wearing our Members Only jackets but soon took them off when we started skating! If you listen very closely, you could hear Donna Summers singing "On the Radio!"

Chrissy: Thank you! I wish I still had that Star Wars shirt and Millenium Falcon because it would probably fetch a lot of money on Ebay. (smile)

cj: You're so kind! I loved my tennis shirts...

louann: I probably couldn't stand to be too long without my camera so I'll probably get one this weekend.

Karen Meg: I'm not sure if girls thought I was cute back then or not. I know I liked them, though. (smile)

barngoddess: Thanks! (blush) I do hope my kids keep their hair, though...

Pssst, I haven't been on the blogging wagon much of late and I can't believe I didn't comment on your cute kids in CATS (but you already know my thoughts on how cute they are :).

I have to catch up - glad it's the weekend!

g: Hi g! Nice to see around these parts. Aren't they absolutely adorable in Cats? I'm amazed at the transformation.

Diesel: Hopefully they get even more cute as they grow older and not suffer the same fate as I did!

Susan: It's funny! I showed them the picture of me and the boys said, "you look just like us!"

Trish: You sure brought up some memories. I had completely forgetten "knock on wood" until you mentioned it!

Actonbell: I agree! I'm grateful for Chrissy for the idea.
