Did you have fun?

Happy Belated Fourth of July!!!

Did you really have fun? We did. First the kids and I went back to the Apartment and had some fun playing outside. This included bike races where my daughter beat me every time. I didn't think those little thin legs could move so fast!

I pedaled behind her on my bike while using the camera on my cell phone, which, in retrospect, was a dumb idea! I almost ran over her and I could have dropped the phone, but hey, it was fun!

Then we went to the movies and saw Ratatouille, which I have to say was a very cool movie.

I asked my kids if they liked it as soon as we walked out of the theater because it wasn't exactly full of action like Toy Story or something, and it was also rather long, but they said they loved it and wanted to see it again soon. I loved it, probably because the idea of rats cooking gourmet french food was too funny to pass up.

So finally we went to the local park and saw the fireworks!

Well what was your take on the movie? Did you enjoy it as a grown up???

Sounds like you had a fun time at the movies? I'm with R - did you like it? I usually love those kind of movies and will confess even as an adult - still watch Scoobie Do! Love it. And Batman Beyond...(shhh, don't tell anyone!)

Myutopia: Wasn't it great? I loved it!

Rebecca and Rachel: Oh, I'm sorry. I loved the movie! It was about giving everyone a chance and about giving credit where credit is due, and it was also about family. These are all themes that are very important to me because they are lessons that took me a long time to learn.

I still don't want rats cooking my dinner though. (smile)

Rachel, don't worry, I won't tell anyone...

I could have seen my neighbor's fireworks and it would have been just as good as the big ones -- man, where do they get those things?

Glad you had a happy fourth!

Dorky Dad: They sell those big ones here in Tennessee! It's crazy but some of the ones the nearby houses were setting off rivalved the "official" fireworks by the city...

Susan: Thanks!!! I'll take a happy birthday any time of the year. My kids, when they remember, give me an "unbirthday" party. It rocks! Of course, I have to buy the cake and they get to eat it, so there may be an ulterior motive in there some where...

Barngoddess: I need to give Spongebob a chance. I don't think I've ever seen one full episode of it! And Yes! Don't miss Ratatouille! Wee one will enjoy it.
