A moment...

I just wanted to take a moment to say how sad I am and shocked at the deaths of so many people at Virginia Tech yesterday. I can't imagine the horror the parents of those students are going through.

I work with a lady whose son graduated from Virginia Tech last year and she was so grateful that her son was no longer there, but we who have kids can easily imagine our own at their day care or schools/colleges and imagine scenarios of phone calls received during times like that.

Let us all pray for those folks who are in any way tied to those students. In a sense, we are all tied to those people; any one of them could easily have been our friends/neighbors/family, but at the very least we know that as people, they didn't deserve this.

here, here...I just finished a post about this too. Let them find peace and recover...and but for the grace of God go I.

I'll take that moment of silence with you. You are so right, none of them deserved this.

I was in the waiting room at the Dr.'s office for 2 hours just after it happened. They had CNN on, and they just kept repeating the same things over and over. I must have heard "at least 22 dead" about 50 times. What a horrible thing.

hmbt: I read your post and it was sad, but I thought to myself that some wonderful art came from sad moments like these. I hope something uplifting comes from all this. Still, I would gladly trade the best art for their lives back.

pinky: Hi, my friend. I am so sad over all this. It reminded me of a good frienf of mine who was shot and killed when I was 20.

diesel: I know what you mean. They kept repeating the same stuff. I just watched 48 hours report and it was so sensationalized.

I was shocked and horrified here too. It was all over the news. It seems that there is an increasing number of these sorts of killings. There was one not too long ago at a college in Montreal...where my cousin was at during the time. He had no idea what was going on until the police told him that there was a shooting in the building he was in!

It's so scary to think that this can happen.
