So how was Halloween?

We had a great time! Let's see. There was a pirate, a ninja, and a mime. Now how cool is that?

First they prepared for the evening:

Grandma helped out the mime while the pirate (Girlie Girl) helped out the ninja so after Girlie Girl was done, she had to fix herself up:

Grandma did such a good job on the mime that he insisted he pose for me for posterity! Marcel Marceau would have been proud.

Just before heading off, the kids had a great time in the parking lot going at each other. The mime looks like he trying his "mime-ish" Jackie Chan pose, don't you think?

Then, it was off for the door to door trick or treating! I'd take pictures of their treat bags, but no; I'd be embarrassed. The thing is, a lot of folks know them and so they'd give them more than one or two so by the time we went to a few doors, then headed off to the church "Fall Festival" function, they had more candy than you can shake a candy bar at!

By the end of the night, the kids were exhausted and so they went to the church choir room where there was a very cute and funny puppet show. They just sat around and watch and laughed while eating their loot.

So, tell me. How was your Halloween with your little ones? If you don't have little ones, did you have fun with other adults? If you post some links in your comments, I'll be glad to visit and see costumes, especially of kids. I saw this incredibly adorable four year old little blonde girl dressed as a UPS delivery worker!

My youngest is the only one left still trick or treating in our house...he went as the Grim Reaper. For the fifth year in a row!

Adorable. Your girl sure looks like she knows what she's doing with the makeup. That must be genetic, because all girls just seem to have a natural attraction to the stuff. Our kids had fun, but I still haven't even looked at the pictures, let alone get up a post.

Great costumes - and I love that you took photos of them getting ready too! It's great being a kid, isn't it?
I took pix of the kids and posted them today - desperate because of NaBloPoMo!

The Mime...what a card! Great pictures as usual. We had a great time...the boys went for the gore this year and I had two bloody killers on my hands. They kept sneaking around (our house) and trying to murder everyone all night...the dog even got axed at one point...he plays dead real good anyway, and the kids had a blast. They both said they thought they were getting too old for trick or treating and that this might be their last year...wwwaaaaa!

Thanks for stopping by! Very cute kids here too...especially like the mime costume. I may steal that one year. I wish mine would get tired trick-or treating, and she's only 4! By the time she's 7 or 8 she'll be pulling ME in a wagon! :)

We don't have much activities over here during holloween. Sad, I know.

I'm over here in case you couldn't fine me. I changed my URL.

Hi everybody!!! Believe it or not, I thought I had responded earlier but I think blogger ate my post!

There's a surprise...

annie: Glad you had such a wonderful time. Wine for Halloween? Hmmm... Do I hear, "new tradition?"

trish: Grim Reaper? Cool!

Theresa: I know what you're saying. She handles that make up like Picasso!

Karen Meg: I visited earlier and there was so cute children!

hmbt: You guys axed the dog??? wow... I suggest therapy.

badness jones; Good luck with your energetic daughter and try to keep them away from the Red Bull. You might stand a chance... (smile)

louann: There you are. I'm fixing you up right now. Hope you're well.

casdok: thank you! They make picture taking rather easy.
