Happy New Year!

Wow! What an incredibly busy and fun last couple of days! I hope you all had a wonderful time and that only good things happen this new year. (Hey, one can hope, right?)

Resolutions, anybody? Well, there are those who don't believe resolutions are a very good idea, but some people do. I do, but I try no to set my expectations too high. Not too low either, though.

Let's see: I'm hoping to get my Network + certification before March, which means I need to start studying like crazy, like right now. I'm also trying to decide if I should "resolve" to read a certain number of books before the year is out. I'll have to think about that one. Last time I tried that, I failed miserably and it was always on my mind. "Should I be playing video games or reading up on my book list?" That sort of thing.

One time, I tried to read the Bible in a year, from beginning to end, but that didn't work out so well either. Every time I try that, I fall asleep in "Leviticus."

Anybody have any New Year's Resolutions?

To visit your blog every day. There, does that get me off the hook? I am systematically undertaking organizing myself but that began before new years, although I resolve to see it through. So there's that.

Happy New Year to you and your family and the best in 2008.

I'm hoping to finish some stuff this year. Like maybe my house, or my novel, or my master's degree.

Or that book you made me read.

Happy New Year, Pavel!

casdok: Not a bad plan! Resolutions don't work for everyone. Hope this year is good to you...

trish: Adjustments; hey, I like the sound of that. Calvin and Hobbes rock! I fell in love with the little guy when I was in college.

Myutopia: That sounds like a great idea.

hmbt: Taking on a mission; hmmm... I think that could work for me. Thanks for stopping by, friend. Hopefully this year will be good to both of us.

g: Hey, I like your resolution!(grin)

diesel: Finish a house, a novel, and a Master's degree? That's it?! I figured you'd have at leas 10 things on your list. (smile)

You know, you did switch the book that I told you to read because you had a different one by the same author...

annie: The fun is in trying to see how long BEFORE you mess it up. ROFL!!! Happy New Year, Annie...

I've posted a little New Year's challenge on my blog. Wish me luck! LOL!

Interesting about trying to read the Bible :) My brother once read the entire series of Encyclopedia Britannica. He read EVERYTHING from A to Z. Quite the task! This was all before the existence of the Internet. You know, when information came from encyclopedias not not from Google searching and Wikipedia! LOL!

Who doesn't, even if we say we don't... we probably secretly do! I know one of mine is to do something new at least once a week! Your Christmas photos are just lovely Pavel... your kids are so lucky to have a loving family. (and Dad!)

c: I love your "challenge!" Good luck with it and you've inspired me to do the same as well...

Your brother actually "did" read the whole encyclopedia? wow!!! I bet he's great at Jeopardy...

pinky: hey!!! You're back! I saw your pics and I'm super glad you had a great time. Little pinky looks lovely.

karen meg: Good luck on that challenge. I thinks it's a wonderful idea and I'll be taking a stab at it too. Now, I just need to pick what to work on. (grin) I do have some ideas, though.

louann: How are you doing "over there" on your side of the world? I do hope you're doing well, my friend. I'm glad we both share a love for Calvin and hobbes. He's the best! I can't wait to introduce them to my kids...

barngoddesss: Yes! It very much counts. rofl!!! Good luck. I need to do that as well; less pringles and Debbie Snack cakes for me. (groan...)

Chris h: So you think we have resolutions hiding in our closets? lol You're probably right, although I suspect those resolutions just go by different names.
I couldn't ask for a better Christmas, Chris. thanks I do hope yours was wonderful too...
